Grateful
You know, it has been a while since I've blogged. Life is crazy. We are moving all the time. Sometimes it can be overwhelming, especially when I feel like I'm missing out on...whatever I'm missing. I worry about missing out on family activities. I wonder if I'm taking enough time to share my testimony. I fear I'm going too fast and missing what is around me.
However, I feel comfort and peace when I pray. I can't help feeling grateful for the life that I've been given. It isn't what I would have chosen for myself at this time. I'm far from where I thought I'd been. But I am closer to the greatest constant, the unchangeable God, the source of light. For that reason, I am grateful. I have a beautiful family. I have a happy life. I have fun and excitement.
I also get depressed. Discouraged. Frustrated. Hurt. Disappointed. Mad.
At times like this, I like to look at the flowers. I like to sit next to Hannalyn. I need to pray. I have grown so much in the last few months. It's been hard change- hard to grow up and learn to change. Hard to need to be better and stronger when I feel so weak and inadequate. But through the power of God, I am grateful to be reminded that I am doing what He wants me to and so it is all going to be ok.
And it is. Because God is good. And life is good.

Book Review: Kisses Between the Lines
BLURB FROM AUTHORS:
"Welcome to Echo Ridge, New York where romance finds its way into the hearts and lives of the people who walk the streets of the close-knit community.
In these five novellas, readers will experience the power a book has to change a life, make dreams come true, and bring two hearts together as the characters work to fill the classic section of the library. Filled with charm, wit, secrets, and hope, each story is a sweet romance with a promise to keep you turning pages into the night. We hope you enjoy this book and the kisses between the lines."
This was a fun collection. It is the second in the Echo Ridge collection but the first I've read. I enjoyed it and didn't feel like I missed out on anything by not reading the first one, though I am curious. The stories were simple and sweet and flowed together really well. It was fun to read each story and get to love the characters while seeing them interact with characters from the other stories. I'm sure it took a lot of collaboration but it was great fun.
If you're looking for a fun, romantic read that doesn't involved months of reading - this is a great collection for you.

Book Review: First Heist
This is a fast-paced, fun & flirty story of Omar and Mia's first meeting. Mia is supposed to make a handoff to agent Omar but doesn't trust him - even though she has never met him. However, she has heard stories of how he ends up in dangerous situations. Omar notices Mia watching him and helps her to escape as her cover is blown. They are then thrown into a series of exciting events as they try to complete their mission while staying safe and feeling a mutual attraction. This story is engaging from beginning to end and the perfect introduction to the further Omar Zagouri thriller series.

1,825 days & nights with you
It seems fitting that my 1000 post should be on our 5 year anniversary. Especially considering I started this blog just after we met (which is technically six years ago, but hey, this is our anniversary of marriage so it counts). I mean, the universe must have been preparing us for this moment, right? These coincidences don't just happen.
Man oh man.
In preparation for this post, I've been going back through pictures and the MEMORIES you guys. ALL the feelings are coming to the surface something major and extreme. It is powerful stuff. And crazy.
I'm sure all/most/some couples feel that 5 years feels like nothing and forever. I can't believe I've only been married to the man of my dreams for only 5 years. Haven't we been together forever? At the same time, HOLYCRAPWHEREDIDTHELASTFIVEYEARSGO?!?!?! How are we old enough to have been married for five years? I mean, when I think about what we've done in five years:
-- both graduated from BYU
-- bought a car
-- drove to Texas -> California -> Utah
-- welcomed our angel into our home
-- moved to Vernal
-- bought a business
-- started a business
-- seen lots of shows
-- been in 3 shows together
-- enjoyed adventuring in general
I mean, small things, really, but wonderful. SO wonderful. I wouldn't trade the last five years for anything. I love them and the people that we have become together by experiencing these years together. Because together is the best way to be.
In case you want to relive some of the happiness with me (because, I'm sitting here with ice cream & tears & giggling like crazy and want to share some of these feel-goods) here are some of my favorites:
Crazy Little Thing Called Love (engagement pictures!)
Happy Anniversary (one month)
Firsts
2 years
three
FOUR
I'm having waaayyyy to much fun over here. :) I love this guy and I love our life together.

Book Review: Between Heaven & Earth
This book was fantastic. Maybe it was just the timing in my life or maybe it's because I love everything by Michele Paige Holmes, but this one really stood out. As the next book in the Power of the Matchmaker Series, it was a perfect fit. Pearl, the matchmaker, fit seamlessly in the story without detracting from it or feeling as those she was put in just to be there. The idea of love, allowing yourself to be loved and to love, and of having a time for love was so powerful. I was reminded that love is stronger than we often realize and was grateful for the lessons I learned from the characters.
